Refrigerated Foods Association Announces 8th National Deli Salad Month in July
Atlanta, GA; June 14, 2021 – In 2014, Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA)proclaimed July as National Deli Salad Month. This designation has been officiallyrecognized and established and each year, throughout the month of July, foodmanufacturers promote and feature such summer staples as potato salad, macaronisalad, dips, chilled desserts, protein salads, ready to eat sandwiches and more.
“Our international association is excited to having set aside a special month to helpconsumers purchase convenient, fresh, ready to eat deli salads during the month ofJuly,” states RFA Membership Chair Wendie DiMatteo Holsinger. “The RFA includesfood manufacturers from across the country and even internationally who are committedto providing a safe, tasty alternative to made-from-scratch salads. We want to promotethe industry and provide incentives for purchase.”
RFA members celebrate with special contests and promotions, in addition to acharitable effort to collectively combat hunger in our country. The RFA has partneredwith Feeding America, a national network of food banks, to help solve the problem ofhunger in our nation. Members are encouraged to contribute to the Association’smonth-long donation drive, as well as to donate excess food to their local food banks allyear long.
